The Last English King

Today marks the anniversary of the battle of Bosworth field when the Welsh usurper Henry VII overthrew his rightful lord, Richard III. Since that time England has been without a truly English king. The Tudors being imports from Wales, the Stuarts from Scotland, and the Hanoverians and their descendants from Germany.

Richard was, in my opinion, unfairly maligned by St. Thomas More who was doing a regrettable turn as a Tudor apologist, and by Shakespeare.
